The UFP is a fast track equivalent to the A’ levels. It particularly broadens students’ knowledge, develops their practical skills and provides them with degree level study. The students that follow this programme would be guaranteed direct entry into our partner universities upon successful completion of the course.
The University foundation comes in different pathways: Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering and Science pathways. The UFP academic year has two entry dates – September and January. The academic year is designed to allow all students commence their university degree the following session.
Students study 6 modules in total, which are spread over the duration of the course in order to provide an even workload.
3 essential modules in pre-determined subjects and 3 Core modules relevant to the student’s future degree programme. Students choose which three modules they wish to study.
- 5 Credits minimum in relevant subjects including English & Mathematics in IGCSE, O’LEVEL Cambridge, WASSCE and NECO or other equivalent examinations.
- Candidates in SS3/Yr 11 can apply before the completion of their course.
